A political economist specialized in international development, she combines a sound knowledge with a genuine passion for contemporary world issues. Her freelance writing and research have been focused on educational policies and practices for development, sustainable agricultural practices, and geography of development. She is also interested in armed conflicts and international security, investigating how political strategies and security policies affect the living conditions in developing countries.

In 2005 she moved to Guatemala, where she stayed for one year working in education and development. While in Guatemala she came across the agricultural project Wuqub' No'j "7 experiences", and since then she has been collaborating as a freelance researcher and writer, as well as co-author of the project website.

Fond of Latina America and travel literature, she has consistently combined the two and put down on paper experiences, emotions and thoughts while travelling in this part of the world. “Leña húmeda quemada, chile y hierba buena” is one of her travel stories that has been published this year by the on-line travel guide One Travel Planet.

Fascinated by all forms of art, she writes figurative art exhibitions and theatre reviews as a freelance.
